When it comes to volunteering, passion and positivity are the only requirements. ‘Friends of Silkworth’ are the glue that holds our fundraising operations and our community together. Without special people committed to our cause Silkworth 50/50 and the Silkworth Fundraising Shop simply could not function.
Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you to not only build upon skills you may already have, but also to make new friends and expand your network. We offer the opportunity to practice important skills used in the workplace, such as teamwork, communication, problem solving, management, and organisation.
It’s nice to give back and it’s fun and rewarding to meet new people, helping a charity deliver their much-needed services and support to the Island.
