We are a compassionate and forward-thinking rehabilitation organisation dedicated to supporting individuals recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Our mission is to provide hope, support, and practical resources to those in need, empowering them to lead healthier, fulfilling lives. As a community-driven organisation, we rely on innovative fundraising strategies and meaningful engagement with donors to sustain and expand our services.
This is a brand new role for the organisation and will allow the successful candidate an opportunity to start from scratch by developing processes and contacts utilising their own knowledge and information currently available within the charity. This is a paid role, and whilst we are advertising for a full-time position, we are flexible around this and open to part-time depending on the candidate and their experience.

Role Overview
We seek a highly skilled and strategic Fundraiser and Events Organiser with strong administration abilities to drive our fundraising efforts and community engagement. This role requires an all-rounder who can secure funding from various sources, including corporate sponsors, high-net-worth individuals, grant-making bodies, and community initiatives. The successful candidate will plan and execute fundraising events, develop donor relationships, and ensure smooth administrative operations to support financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and Donor Engagement:
- Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies tailored to Jersey’s affluent community.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities from corporate sponsors, trusts, foundations, and grant providers.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals and key stakeholders.
- Research and apply for grants, ensuring compliance with application requirements and deadlines.
- Develop sponsorship proposals to foster long-term financial support.

- Monitor and report on fundraising performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Event Planning and Management:
- Plan, organise, and execute high-profile fundraising events, including charity galas, auctions, networking functions, and community-based initiatives.
- Collaborate with partners, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure event success.
- Develop marketing strategies for events, including digital and print campaigns, to maximise attendance and donations.
- Manage event logistics, budgeting, and post-event evaluation to improve future fundraising initiatives.
Administration and Financial Oversight:
- Maintain accurate records of fundraising income, donor contributions, and sponsorships.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices for fundraising in Jersey.
- Provide administrative support, including preparing reports, managing correspondence, and updating donor databases.
- Work closely with the Head of Group to track fundraising income and expenditure.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in fundraising, event management, or a related field.
- Strong track record of securing funds from diverse sources, including corporate sponsors and grant-making bodies.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, particularly within high-net-worth communities.
- Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to generate new fundraising ideas.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of Jersey fundraising laws and financial management (or willingness to learn).
